Elder and Sister Busath

Two weeks ago my parents gave their farewell talks in church before leaving for their mission to Orlando, Florida.  In honor of the occasion, Grandpa bought his two granddaughters matching dresses!  They did a great job speaking on missionary work and bore amazing testimonies.

 

On Sunday my sister Katie put together an open house for all of their friends!  She's pretty cool.  I did get pictures of this but they are on my parents camera.  

Last night they were officially set apart as missionaries!  It was such a special experience to be there.  We are so happy and proud of them.

We will miss them like crazy for the year that they are gone, but we know that this is where they are meant to be right now.  We can't wait to hear all about the fun they will have and the lives they will touch.

About a month ago...

...our good friend Jenny got married!  It was a beautiful wedding.  She had the wedding at her church and then her reception was at an amazing venue in downtown Sacramento.  It was fun for me to be at a non LDS wedding and experience how everyone else does a wedding/reception.  I felt very fancy at the sit down dinner!  Unfortunately, Nick was doing clinicals that night so I was flying solo.  Luckily, some of my favorite people were there....

I was so excited to be there for the official beginning of her family with Steve.  We love her such much....but it's going to be weird to call her Jenny Read from now on. :)
