Yesterday my family took our annual trip up to Apple Hill to cut down our Christmas tree. Since it's Nick and I's first Christmas together as a married couple we decided (well actually I decided) on a smaller tree. However, the trees at the farm are priced according to type rather than size so we opted out of buying one up there and decided to buy one when we got home instead. We had a lot of fun helping everyone else find their perfect tree and eating brunch at Sportsmen's Lodge. After brunch everyone headed back home, but Dad and Mom took us to the fudge factory to get a chocolate caramel apple. We ended our day finding a small, fat tree at a lot near our house and Nick put on the lights last night before I had to drop him off this morning at the airport for his work training in Minnesota. He'll be home on the eighteenth and I'll probably be spending a lot of time at my parent's house and the Langstraats eagerly awaiting his return. I hope everyone is having a great holiday so far.

What a cute little Christmas tree! Now it needs some decorations. We bought some crappy ones our first Christmas together and now that I have collected a few over the years I use the crappy ones as fillers. Where did you get the cute Christmas tree skirt ?
